Recruiting roundup: IU makes the cut for class of 2025 big man Eric Reibe
While the top of Indiana’s recruiting board for 2025 has been in focus for a while, the interest level in prospects further down the list hasn’t been as clear.
The prospects currently at the top of IU’s wish list include Braylon Mullins, Jalen Haralson, Trent Sisley, Malachi Moreno, Bryson Tiller and Nate Ament.
This week brought some clarity for several prospects who aren’t in that top group and here’s a roundup of the notable developments:
Indiana in the top 11 for Eric Reibe
Eric Reibe, the No. 40 player in the 2025 class according to the 247Composite, has Indiana in his list of top 11 schools.
The 7-foot, 235-pound center from the Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland, announced his list on Thursday.
The schools in contention for Reibe includes Creighton, Connecticut, Harvard, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oregon, Stanford and West Virginia.
Reibe rose from outside the top 100 to the top 40 of the national rankings in the latest update.

Darius Adams sets visits, Indiana appears to be out of the mix
Class of 2025 La Lumiere five-star guard Darius Adams, who has visited Indiana’s campus previously and has a scholarship offer from the Hoosiers, has set six visits for the fall.
Adams will visit North Carolina State, Tennessee, Michigan State, Alabama, UConn and Notre Dame.
While Adams didn’t explicitly announce a list cut, Indiana’s absence from his list of visits likely removes the Hoosiers from consideration.
The 6-foot-5 guard is the No. 17 player in the country in the rising senior class and is a teammate of Jalen Haralson at La Lumiere.
News: Darius Adams, the No. 17 overall prospect in the class of 2025 has set the following visits:
NC State – 9/6-9/8
Tennessee -9/13-9/15
Michigan State – 9/20-9/22
Alabama – 9/27-9-29
UConn 10/4-10/6
Notre Dame – 10/10-10/12 pic.twitter.com/zVOVQmmFov— Dushawn London (@DushawnLondon1) July 18, 2024
Trey McKenney appears to be focused elsewhere
Another highly touted class of 2025 guard, Trey McKenney, also appears to be focused on schools other than Indiana.
The No. 15 player in the 2025 class according to the 247Composite, McKenney has also previously visited Indiana. But it appears the Hoosiers are no longer in the mix.
According to a report this week by Travis Branham of 247Sports, the main schools in the mix for McKenney are Creighton, Georgetown, Michigan, Michigan State and USC. Baylor and Kentucky could also be in the mix.
The 6-foot-4 guard plays at St. Mary’s and is from Flint, Michigan.
Kiyan Anthony says Indiana “not recruiting me as hard as they were”
Kiyan Anthony, the son of Carmelo Anthony, gave an interesting update on his recruitment to Joe Tipton of On3.
Tipton reported that Anthony is considering visits to Auburn, Rutgers, Syracuse and USC along with a return trip to Syracuse, where his father played.
Here’s what Anthony told Tipton regarding Indiana: “They’re still recruiting me, but not as hard as they were. I feel like Coach Woody is just trying to figure it out. But they’re still on my list so I’m just waiting on them to reach out and whatnot.”
The No. 31 player in the country according to the 247Composite, Anthony and Mike Woodson have a strong relationship from their time together with the New York Knicks.
Top-30 recruit Kiyan Anthony says he's considering visits to Ohio St., Auburn, USC, Rutgers, and a return trip to 'Cuse. The son of Carmelo gives his thoughts on each, discusses new interest from Arkansas, and updates where things are with Indiana (On3+): https://t.co/AhWUUeElnI pic.twitter.com/yl6YcmBZOx
