Yogi Ferrell’s 27 points lead Assembly Ball to opening round win in TBT
Yogi Ferrell scored 27 points as Assembly Ball beat the Cru 89-79 in the opening round of the TBT on Friday night at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Ferrell was 9-for-14 from the field, 4-for-9 on 3s and 5-for-7 from the free throw line and also added six assists and two rebounds.
Juwan Morgan also scored in double figures for Assembly Ball, finishing with 12 points and 10 rebounds in the win. Julian Gamble, who played at Miami, had 17 points and six rebounds for Assembly Ball.
The victory advanced Assembly Ball to a round of 32 matchup on Sunday night against Men of Mackey at Hinkle Fieldhouse. That matchup is set for an 8 p.m. ET tip on FS1.
