Indiana to host Eastern Illinois on Sunday, November 10 at Assembly Hall
Indiana will host Eastern Illinois in a non-conference game next season at Assembly Hall in Bloomington.
The contest between the Hoosiers and the Panthers will take place on Sunday, November 10. Indiana will pay Eastern Illinois $100,000 for the guarantee game.
Eastern Illinois, coached by Marty Simmons, finished last season 14-18 overall and No. 320 in the final KenPom rankings. Simmons played at Indiana from 1983 through 1985 before transferring to Evansville, where he went on to become the program’s head coach.
The Panthers were 8-10 in the Ohio Valley Conference last season.
Indiana and Eastern Illinois have met twice before.
The Hoosiers beat Eastern Illinois 94-55 on March 19, 1992, in the NCAA tournament in Boise, Idaho. More recently, Indiana beat Eastern Illinois 88-49 on November 13, 2015, in Bloomington.
Bart Torvik’s projections for the 2024-25 season currently have Eastern Illinois at No. 324 nationally.
The Hoosiers will also play in the Battle 4 Atlantis this season in the Bahamas with potential games against Arizona, Gonzaga, Louisville, Providence, West Virginia, Oklahoma or Davidson.
