Indiana debuts as a No. 5 seed in CBS Sports bracketology for 2025 NCAA tournament
The first CBS Sports bracketology for the 2025 NCAA tournament was released this week and Indiana is listed as a No. 5 seed.
The Hoosiers are the top No. 5 seed and in the East Region in Jerry Palm’s CBS Sports bracket. In the bracket, Indiana plays Ohio University in Cleveland, Ohio.
Indiana is one of just eight Big Ten teams in the projections for the 2025 tournament, which is roughly eight months away.
The other Big Ten teams included in the projections are Purdue (No. 3 seed), UCLA (No. 4 seed), Rutgers (No. 7 seed), Ohio State (No. 7 seed), Michigan State (No. 8 seed), Oregon (No. 10 seed), Illinois (No. 11 seed) and Michigan (No. 11 seed).
The Wolverines are one of the last four teams in the early projections. No Big Ten teams are listed among the first four out.
Among non-conference opponents for Indiana, Sam Houston State is a No. 12 seed in Palm’s projections.
Potential Battle 4 Atlantis opponents Gonzaga (No. 2 seed), Arizona (No. 5 seed) and Providence (No. 7 seed) are included in the bracket with Louisville as one of the first four teams out.
