Tennessee transfer forward Karoline Striplin announced her commitment to Indiana women’s basketball on Thursday.

Striplin played three seasons for the Lady Vols and averaged 7.2 points and 3.1 rebounds in 14.4 minutes per game last season. She shot 49.1 percent from the field.

The 6-foot-3 forward was one of four players to appear in all 33 games for Tennessee. She set career highs in minutes played, field goals, 3-pointers, free throws, rebounds and steals.

Striplin, a native of Hartford, Alabama, has one season of eligibility remaining.

Alabama’s Miss Basketball in 2021, Striplin was ranked the No. 45 player nationally in the 2021 recruiting class, according to ESPN. She chose Tennessee over NC State, Oregon and UCLA out of high school.

Indiana hopes the addition of Striplin, who is graduating this spring from Tennessee, will improve its frontcourt depth as All-American Mackenzie Holmes just finished a storied five-year career in Bloomington.

Here is Striplin’s bio from her junior season at Tennessee:

• One of four players to appear in all 33 games, starting 11 of them and averaging career bests of 7.2 points and 3.1 rebounds.
