Dan Gavitt says NCAA still planning to begin hoops season Nov. 10
In a brief interview released on Saturday morning on the NCAA’s March Madness Twitter account, NCAA senior vice president Dan Gavitt said the plan is for the college hoops season to begin on Nov. 10.
Speaking to Andy Katz, Gavitt said the organization is considering many contingencies and that he believes September is the month in which the NCAA may have to firm up plans on what the season will look like.
Indiana’s season opener, if the season begins on time, will be against NJIT on Nov. 10 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
“We are still planning on starting the season on schedule on November 10th.”
