Report: Indiana to host Chattanooga as part of 2024-25 non-conference slate
Indiana will reportedly host Chattanooga as part of its non-conference slate for the 2024-25 season.
Rocco Miller posted news of the matchup on his site, which tracks non-conference scheduling across college basketball. The game will take place at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall with the date to be announced.
Chattanooga, a member of the Southern Conference, finished last season 21-12 and No. 140 in KenPom. The Mocs lost in the second round of the South Conference tournament.
Bart Torvik’s projections for next season currently have Chattanooga at No. 152 nationally. The Mocs return guards Honor Huff and Trey Bonham, the team’s two leading scorers last season.
Huff averaged 17.4 points per game last season and shot 38 percent on 3s, while Bonham averaged 16 points and shot 41.3 percent from distance.
Chattanooga is the third confirmed non-conference opponent – outside of the Battle 4 Atlantis – for Indiana next season.
Indiana leads the all-time series with Chattanooga 3-0. The two programs last met in the NCAA tournament round of 64 in Des Moines, Iowa on March 17, 2016. Indiana won 99-74.
The Hoosiers will host Eastern Illinois on November 10 at Assembly Hall and South Carolina on November 16.
Indiana will play three of the following teams at the Battle 4 Atlantis: Arizona, Gonzaga, Louisville, Providence, West Virginia, Oklahoma, and Davidson.
Battle 4 Atlantis takes place November 27-29 at Paradise Island in the Bahamas.
