Kel’el Ware earns first team All-Summer League honors, Miami wins championship
Former Indiana big man Kel’el Ware capped off a successful summer Monday by earning first team All-Summer League honors and winning a championship.
Early Monday evening, Ware was named to the NBA 2K25 All-Summer league first team along with GG Jackson II (Memphis), Jordan Miller (LA Clippers), Scotty Pippen Jr. (Memphis) and Reed Sheppard (Houston).
Just a few hours later, Ware was on the floor for Miami and finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds in the Heat’s 120-118 win against Memphis to claim the Summer League championship.
Ware was 8-for-10 from the floor in 32 minutes in the overtime victory.
Over six games in Las Vegas, Ware averaged 18 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.5 blocked shots, a steal and an assist in 26.5 minutes per game. He shot 61.8 percent from the floor and 70 percent from the free-throw line.
