HD Video: Trey Lyles at John Lucas Midwest Invitational
Top prospects from across the country gathered on Saturday and Sunday for the 2011 John Lucas Midwest Invitational at HOOPS in Louisville, Kentucky. Among the participants were several kids from Indiana, including both of the Hoosiers’ class of 2014 verbal commitments — James Blackmon Jr. and Trey Lyles.
The two-day invitational began with skills instruction on Saturday with two games to cap off the evening. Sunday morning saw more skills instruction followed by two more games to round out the event. Individual scoring was not kept in the games — each comprised of eight five-minutes quarters — but Lyles was one of the standouts on the Bullets, coached by former Louisville forward Tony Williams. The Bullets also featured Jabari Parker, the No. 1 player nationally in 2013 according to ESPN and Scout.com.
Inside the Hall was there for all four of Lyles’ contests and has compiled over four minutes of high definition video of the five-star forward (wearing jersey No. 132), which is available in the embedded media player below.
