A look at the prospects Indiana offered this week
It’s been a busy week for scholarship offers from the Indiana coaching staff. The new staff offered several 2018 and 2019 prospects this week following the first April evaluation period.
The second April evaluation period begins tonight with the Nike EYBL and Under Armour Association both in Indianapolis and the adidas Gauntlet in Atlanta.
Here’s a look at some of the prospects that were extended scholarship offers this week:
Class of 2018
Eric Ayala, Putnam Science Academy (CT) and WeR1 (Under Armour)
Ayala had a scholarship offer from the previous coaching staff and is rated the No. 102 prospect nationally in the 2018 class, according to the 247Composite. The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 13.3 points per game in the first Under Armour Association session last weekend in New York.
Louis King, Hudson Catholic (N.J.) and Team Final (Nike EYBL)
King is a 6-foot-8, 200 pound small forward who is rated the No. 26 prospect nationally according to the 247Composite. Like Ayala, he also had a scholarship offer from the previous coaching staff. In the first EYBL session last weekend in Hampton (Va.), King averaged 16 points per game.
Jalen Carey, Immaculate Conception (N.Y.) and NJ Playaz (Nike EYBL)
In addition to the Indiana offer, Carey also added offers from Syracuse and Texas following the first EYBL session in Hampton, where he averaged 13.2 points per game. He’s ranked the No. 81 prospect nationally by the 247Composite.
Class of 2019
James Wiseman, Ensworth (Tenn.) and Bradley Beal Elite (Nike EYBL)
The 6-foot-11 Wiseman is one of the top prospects nationally in the 2019 class. The 247Composite ranks him as a five-star and No. 9 overall. He’s a teammate of IU target Darius Garland in the EYBL. In the first EYBL session, Wiseman averaged 11.2 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.
Isaiah Stewart, Mc Quaid Jesuit (N.Y.) and City Rocks (Nike EYBL)
Stewart, a 6-foot-8 forward, is ranked the No. 43 prospect nationally in his class by the 247Composite. In the first EYBL session in Hampton, he averaged 10.8 and 10.2 rebounds per game.
Matthew Hurt, John Marshall (Minn.) and D1 Minnesota (adidas Gauntlet)
Hurt is a five-star prospect and the No. 7 player nationally in the 247Composite. He’s already compiled a strong list of scholarship offers that includes Arizona, Kansas, Louisville and North Carolina, among others.
