All three IU players who entered the transfer portal have committed to new schools
All three Indiana players who entered the transfer portal this spring have now chosen where they’ll play next season.
The deadline to enter the transfer portal is May 1, which means that a player must enter the portal by that date to be eligible to compete next season without a waiver.
Each of Indiana’s three outgoing transfers β Kaleb Banks, Payton Sparks and CJ Gunn β have chosen their new schools for next season.
In order of their commitment date, here’s a look at where each will play next winter:
Payton Sparks – Ball State
At Indiana last season: 2.1 points, 1.8 rebounds and 51.4 FG% in 7.4 minutes per game.
Sparks will return to Ball State, where he played his first two seasons. The Winchester, Indiana native has one season of eligibility remaining.

CJ Gunn – DePaul
At Indiana last season: 3.9 points, one rebound and 34.2 FG% in 12.9 minutes per game.
The Lawrence North product will play in the Big East next season for Chris Holtmann, who took over the Blue Demons after his dismissal at Ohio State. Gunn has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Kaleb Banks – Tulane
At Indiana last season: 2.6 points, 1.8 rebounds and 39.2 FG% in 10.7 minutes per game.
A former top-100 recruit, Banks will suit up for the Green Wave, who are coached by Ron Hunter and are in the American Athletic Conference. Banks has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Indiana transfer Kaleb Banks has committed to Tulane.
The 6β8 wing spent his first two seasons in Bloomington and will make an impact immediately in the AAC.
