Recruiting Notebook: Indiana issues several scholarship offers after first April evaluation period
The first of two April evaluation periods wrapped up on Sunday and the Indiana staff has been active in offering scholarships to several players in recent days.
Associate head coaches Yasir Rosemond and Kenya Hunter, assistant coach Brian Walsh, and team and staff recruiting coordinator Jordan Hulls were on the road for the Hoosiers last weekend.
Mike Woodson did not travel as he continues to recover from knee surgery.
Here’s a look at the four scholarship offers the staff has extended since Saturday:
AUSTIN SWARTZ
Swartz is a 6-foot-4 guard from the Cannon School in Concord, North Carolina in the class of 2024.
He’s staring this spring for Boo Williams on the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League Circuit. The Indiana coaching staff watched Swartz last weekend in Atlanta.
Swartz is currently ranked the 131st best prospect in the country according to 247Sports.

CURTIS GIVENS III
Givens III is a class of 2024 point guard who plays at Montverde Academy, which was the home of Malik Reneau and Jalen Hood-Schifino.
The 6-foot-2 guard is the No. 63 player nationally in the 247Composite.
Givens is playing this spring for Mokan Elite on the Nike EYBL circuit.

MARCUS ALLEN
Allen, a 6-foot-7 forward in the class of 2024, plays at Compass Prep in Chandler, Arizona.
He’s starring this spring for the Florida Rebels on the Nike EYBL circuit and is the No. 47 player in the country according to the 247Composite.
JACOB WILKINS
The son of former NBA great Dominique Wilkins, Jacob Wilkins is a class of 2025 forward who plays at Parkview High School and is from Lilburn, Georgia.
Wilkins is a 6-foot-7 wing and is playing for the Skills Factory on the Nike EYBL circuit.
