Indiana ranked 12th nationally in power rankings from Andy Katz for 2024-25 season
Indiana is among the top 15 teams nationally for the 2024-25 season, according to longtime college basketball reporter Andy Katz.
After a significant transfer portal haul and the retention of several key players, the Hoosiers are No. 12 in Katz’s latest Power 36 for the 2024-25 season, published Thursday.
The Hoosiers are the second-highest-rated Big Ten team in Katz’s rankings.
“The Hoosiers could end up being the Big Ten champs with a roster that returns Mackenzie Mgbako, Malik Reneau, Trey Galloway and a portal haul of Oumar Ballo, Myles Rice, Kanaan Carlyle and Luke Goode,” Katz wrote.
Purdue leads the pack among Big Ten teams at No. 10 in Katz’s rankings. Other Big Ten teams in the Power 36 include Ohio State (14), UCLA (18), Rutgers (19), Illinois (27), Oregon (29) and Michigan State (30).
The Hoosiers are currently No. 23 in the latest projections for next season from Bart Torvik.
The top five teams in the Katz Power 36 are Alabama, Kansas, Gonzaga, Houston, and UConn.
