Indiana ranked preseason No. 30 by the Three Man Weave

Three Man Weave, one of the top independent national college basketball outlets, is counting down its preseason rankings on X (formerly Twitter).

The Weave, which is run by Jim Root, Matt Cox and Ky McKeon, are major contributors to the preseason college basketball publication, the Almanac.

Today’s installment in the preseason rankings is Indiana. The Hoosiers come in at No. 30 in the Three Man Weave preseason rankings.

“It seems foolish to see Indiana improving in the wake of a multi-year AA caliber performer (TJD), not to mention an NBA lottery pick (JHS), walking out the door. However, the 2019-20 season, TJD’s rookie campaign, is a relevant precedent,” the Weave wrote on X. “IU was *better* that year after losing Juwan Morgan and Romeo Langford, which marked a changing of the guard in the Hoosier locker room. Notably, that was TJD’s first year in Bloomington. Can the Woody and his Hoosiers follow that same script in year 1 without TJD?”

Indiana is the second Big Ten team to be revealed in the preseason top 40 from the Weave. Ohio State was No. 35.

In Bart Torvik’s preseason rankings for the 2023-24 season, Indiana is currently No. 32.

The Almanac is available for preorder here.
