If it’s a graduate transfer, he probably doesn’t have to sit a year. I think you’re right.

Well, my comment about recruiting was only half-serious; sort of a joking acknowledgement that with KJ on their staff they will probably have our number. But I think we should worry more about getting our program back than trying to keep from bolstering other programs.

I just don’t understand why this is a question. Given where UL’s program is at, I don’t think there is a team in the country that wouldn’t acknowledge them as an important win.

When we lost Kenny Johnson you said we should avoid recruiting against Louisville from now on. Do you really want to bolster their program with more exposure?

We haven’t been marquee because our administration settles for mediocrity and our fans allow it. If we want to be great again we need to demand more.

It was NOT a great game.

Oh, it’s way better than last year for sure. Of course the pundits are already saying the B1G is going to be down this year, so that may negate some of the strength of schedule we take from the regular season.

MSU lost Gary Harris, Keith Appling, and Adrain Payne
UM lost GRIII, Stauskas, McGary, Horford
Ohio State lost Craft, Ross, and Lenzelle Smith

I cant imagine these teams being top 25 teams next year. That’s a lot of firepower missing with little coming back or relying heavily on frosh. If Blackmon is everything he is billed as, and Troy Williams realizes his superstar potential, we can make a very big splash.

Louisville wants to believe they’re as good as the Mildcats, but it just isn’t so. Pittsburgh will be unranked starting out as well.

What? This is the first year KY has brought in 4 or 5 five-star recruits? How about last year. Fact is, KY is recruiting at a level never before seen since Cal arrived. Which leaves the question: why do these players put themselves in the situation described by inLinE6?

You forgot Duke with a freshmen class superior to KY!

Plus MSU, MI, OH St, and IU! That makes 7 potential top 25 teams. Then IL, MN and Maryland will be good, that is 10/14. I don’t know if NW can do it again next year with the upsets. Purdue, Rutgers and PSU will struggle. That still makes a very strong league!

He has to jump through a couple of NCAA hoops, but yeah – he will be eligible. I hope he does well! Well, except that one day.

It is no mystery, this is the first year that it is happening. So Ky will not get these recruits every year for the next 4-6 years!

They won’t play, they will be on the roster. At any other school besides KY, KU, Duke, Louisville, AZ, etc. Lee would be a lottery pick in 2014! He just lost $3-4 million in 2014 and may lose another $3-4 million in 2015!

There is NO way Cal keeps them all happy! He is “messing” with their NBA paychecks. There are only 200 minutes to pass around. The Harrisons, Johnson, Cauley-Stein, and Poythress start. Lee has to play-lots, to make up for last year. Coach Cal likes a 7-8 man rotation, that is the top 6 @ 25 min/game = 150. So that leaves 50 minutes to split for Towns, 7’0 #5, Lyles, 6’10 # 13, Ulis 5’8 #21, Booker, 6’5 #29, and Hawkins, 6’0 soph who played well in the NCAA Tourney! Ulis will get minutes because KY under Cal has never played a true small PG. Booker will get minutes because Cal likes his 3 big 6’6 G power lineup. But Hawkins has played in the big time, so he gets some minutes. There is no way that both Towns and Lyles get enough minutes to go to the NBA draft in 2015. So out of 4 one-and-done “wanna-bes”, only 1 will make it, AND out of 6 proven studs, only a max of 3-4 will make it. So the lesson to the top 30 ranked seniors in HS is “go somewhere else and PLAY! Willis may get some minutes if he lasts to his senior year, but that is it.

Louisville is as good as KY! Pittsburgh and SMU will be tough. Butler may be 1-3 years away from good, but the Butler/ND Classic is great for the State of IN!

Agreed, no 300’s. I think that Samford is fine, sometimes good in their league, never awful.
