Tix are already sold out and stubhub prices keep going up every day, but I haven’t bought tix yet for the Sweet 16 game because I can’t figure out if IU would be playing in the Thursday or Friday game. Is there any way to tell?

I don’t think you’d have any problem geting a decent seat if you get there by 2 or so.

Open practice, free. Other teams other times throughout the day. Remember, hit the bars on 5th street about 1.5 miles from the arena. And, those seeking tickets, every seat is ok in the UD Arena. Just go. No balcony except the box seatsfor corporate sponsors.

There will be plenty of IU fans in DC..provided they win in the first round.

I went to some open practices in Indy when I was in grade school/ high school. They’re pretty cool because you can normally get really good seats (even during Butler’s Final Four practice) and hear all the chattering/coaching. The practices are really light… they just stretch, do some simple drills, and might do a half court contest. I was able to get autographs from some players after their practices ended. Just in case, make sure to get close where they exit the court right before practice ends and bring something to get autographed. One year, I had some ND players (Chris Thomas, etc) sign a shoe I was wearing because I wanted autographs so bad haha. Your boys will love the practices.

Thanks Alex – that’s what I figured. Do you have any guidance on how well-attended it would be? I would think there would be demand for IU in Dayton, so I’m planning to get there early, but don’t want to be too early.

Last year it was more of a shoot around rather than an actual practice. I would expect that to be the case again.

I’m planning to drive over from Columbus, OH with my boys – has anyone been to one of these before?
