It will be interesting to see how Vic adjusts to a 48 minute game. I remember Jordan talking about how when he was a rookie, he would be going all out in the first half, have his team up against the Lakers and Celtics, while Bird and Magic coasted. Then when the 4th quarter rolled around, they’d turn it on, erase a 10 point deficit, and win going away. This has happened to the young guys on Detroit and Cleveland a lot over the last 2 years. It would be great for Orlando to get Eric Bledsoe, but you also need the Jameer Nelsons around to teach them how to win games. Guess I’m the newest Magic fan…..since Charlotte is SO devoid of talent, I think it will be fun to keep tabs on big Z too. He might be the best player on the team next year, and thus have a leg up on rookie of the year..

Great talent, great motor, great work ethic, great personality, great faith and most of all great character make VO my favorite Hoosier of all time. He deserves all the good things that are happening for him and are going to happen to him.

The development of Victor Oladipo was truly amazing. He started out as just an athlete and turned into an elite basketball player. The development of Oladipo should inspire younger players to outwork everyone to be the best they can be. Give Vic a little time and he will be a star.

VO and Cody going where they did in the draft. proves that intelligence, talent and character do count in the NBA draft placement. I think Victor is correct when he says his experience i n helping to rebuild the IU program will help his development with a rebuilding pro franchise like the Magic. Bilas made a great point saying that VO’s work ethic and general personality could make him an immediate leader of a very young pro team. Keep your head on straight Vic..and the world is your oyster. Well earned and deserved.

It felt so good watching that draft last night. I’m going to miss those guys but I’m really happy for them. They handled everything with such great class. There have been so many people in the media say good things about our IU boys. I feel like a proud pappa. ha ha.
