Dumes is a player I and I believe many other IU fans would boo if he was on the opposing team.

Dumes is uncontrollable. I would rather Creek and Roth use up all the shooting guard minutes.

I think less minutes means more effective results from Dumes as he plays with less fatigue.

Like everyone else I wish we had the players to warrant bringing him in off the bench …………… but we don't .

Despite our talented freshmen until I see college game-based evidence , to put any other guard , especially a freshman , in his spot I am sticking with Dumes and ignoring the hopes and hype we have placed on the untested ones.

First, he's had a year to mature and be coached. Two, the season will be a much less frustrating experience as we should win more games.

Given that we mostly expect that his minutes will be somewhat diminished, I hope Devan can become a glue kind of guy. Somebody you can rely on consistently for a 12 point, 4 assist 2 board type of game.

Hopefully with JR we are not going late into the clock and then panicking for a shot . As such Dumes should have a great year:

1. He has been around the B10 block , freshmen have no idea what they are in for
2. Very pesky on defense, freshmen have alot to learn here
3. Shoots well enough and will be better with less pressure
4. Can run the floor and drive
5. Most tenacious player on the team

I would not have been disappointed if he would have been dismissed for the year at that point. Then he followed it up with his actions during the Michigan St game.

Go Hoosiers!
