Yogi got caught in a switch in the Penn State Game.He was inside guarding a 6’7′ man, after a fast break transition switch. He fronted the guy,and put his lower body on him and completely restricted the bigger guys ability to move.He eventually got called for a foul but I stopped the game and replayed this sequence for some people at my house.Yogi looked like a crafty NBA defender.Amazing sequence. He has talent, speed, intellect, and heart. He will lead us for years to come.

Yes, Glenn Robinson Jr. is much better than I thought he would be. He is very skilled and smooth.

They have played five true freshmen tonight in their game vs Minnesota.

He doesn’t have a bad looking shot, he just isn’t hitting them.

However..there is this small matter called shooting percentage,.

Love his confidence and toughness.

-Yogi will be back a year wiser & a hell of a lot better
-Sheehey will be Sheehey (Scrapper, Shooter, dunker, defense, energy, etc)

-Although Hollowell has not shown the promise he was prescribed with in the preseason, sometimes it takes a offseason worth of grind to realize what exactly it takes to play on this level. Who’s not to say he can’t make the progress MacAdoo did at UNC from year 1 to year 2. An offseason look in the mirror and summer full of grind will benefit him. I truly believe it.

-Vonleh will be a Micky D’s AA and will be a great compliment to the fast tempo that Yogi brings and the attention that Zeller will command. At 6’9 & 245 already and then coming in at IU, he will be more than ready to take the Big 10 by storm.
-And as for Zeller……………….yea hahah

Another great year for the Hoosiers in 2013-2014!!!!

entering the season I was skeptical of IU’s ability to play good
defense with a backcourt comprised of Ferrell and Jordan Hulls. That
skepticism has proven to be unwarranted.”

I was never worried about Yogi, but more about Jordy. Neither will probably ever win an award for their D, but they are better than most give them credit.

We’re all looking forward to seeing him shut down Trey Burkes, too, Doc! Go Yogi! Go IU!

Yogi have a pass first, shoot second mentality because that’s the role he was assigned to play. He is a pure point guard. A general. That was the piece of the puzzle that was missing last year with that IU squad (as good as they were). In high school when Coach Schilling gave him the green light, he was a scoring machine scoring 30+ points in numerous games. He can be that again but does he need too? Yes his shot is a bit off this year (but he has made some game changing buckets this year as well), but he needs time to grow into his “man arms.” As his Mom, I barely even recognize him! LOL. He’s stays in the gym long after others have called it a night so it will come. In regards to his defense, he never lost that. I’m looking forward to seeing him play Trey Burkes so he can shut him down! #goIU #@doclibby

I haven’t really seen much of any appreciable defensive liability of having Yogi and Hulls playing together, at least any that isn’t outweighed by what they bring to the table in terms of scoring. But one of the key’s to our team’s continued development has to be Yogi’s ability to score with confidence when tempted to do so against the more disciplined defensive teams.

I say next year will be Yogi’s year even if Victor and Cody stay.

A little disappointed in his offensive consistency though as I thought he could create for himself a little better in that category. Not disappointed in his effort to improve there so far though. When he starts scoring consistently – watch out!

It would be very awesome. Indiana is being regarded pretty highly when it comes to recruiting lately. Having four players in that game would effectively put Indiana in firmly in the discussion of who the top 3-4 schools are in terms of best recruiting, and dream destinations for players.

How awesome would that be???
