Stanford Robinson transferring to Findlay Prep
Washington Post: Stanford Robinson, Indiana recruit, transferring from Paul VI to Findlay Prep
“Paul VI is a great school, it’s just I felt like I needed to play in a great situation,” Robinson said. “That’s what Findlay Prep is, it’s just a higher notch, one notch up. Taking my game to another level. I feel like it could prepare me more than Paul VI could give me.”
Robinson, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound guard, said he did not consult with any of his coaches on the decision, and made the choice to transfer on Tuesday night before informing Paul VI Coach Glenn Farello and Indiana Coach Tom Crean on Wednesday. Robinson informed Farello about an hour before he tweeted the decision, he said.
“This decision was really between my mom and my dad and my little brother,” Robinson said. “We made it as a family decision. We didn’t sit down with anybody to get their take on it. We felt like with the connections and politics in basketball, you never know who you can trust nowadays. We just decided to make it a family thing.”
