The final preseason ESPN bracketology for the 2024 NCAA tournament was released this week.

Indiana is a No. 10 seed in the final preseason bracket from Joe Lunardi.

With under two weeks remaining until the start of the 2023-24 regular season, Lunardi projects eight Big Ten teams to make the tournament.

The Hoosiers, currently ranked No. 34 in Bart Torvik’s projections for next season and No. 49 by Ken Pomeroy, are the No. 10 seed in the South Region.

Indiana is one of the “last four byes,” along with Ohio State, St. John’s and Iowa State.

Northwestern is one of Lunardi’s “last four in.”

Lunardi projects Purdue and Michigan State as No. 1 seeds, Illinois as a No. 6 seed, Wisconsin and Maryland as No. 8 seeds, Ohio State as a No. 10 seed and Northwestern as a No. 11 seed.

Michigan and Rutgers are among the “next four out.”

Kansas, Indiana’s opponent at Assembly Hall on Dec. 16, is the top overall seed in Lunardi’s projections. UConn, IU’s opponent in the Empire Classic next month, is a No. 2 seed.

Lunardi also projects Indiana non-conference opponents Wright State (No. 15 seed), Morehead State (No. 16 seed) and Auburn (No. 7 seed) as NCAA tournament teams. Potential Empire Classic opponent Texas is a No. 3 seed.

Indiana will tip off the 2023-24 season Nov. 7 against Florida Gulf Coast at Assembly Hall.
