Film Session: SIU Edwardsville
Josh Newkirk comes down the court and takes the ball into the left corner:
As Newkirk kicks the ball up to Josh McRoberts, James Blackmon Jr. clears out of the right wing:
McRoberts dribbles right as Curtis Jones calls for the ball:
But Jones fakes the call and begins to back cut to the hoop instead. McRoberts is in step with him and begins to take the angle for a pass:
He threads it through:
And Jones dunks it home:
On the call, Homer Drew said the Hoosiers were working on this before the contest. It’s a play that worked out well once the game got underway.
