Star-studded list of visitors expected for Indiana’s Saturday matinee against Kansas
Indiana’s matchup against Kansas on Saturday is expected to attract a star-studded list of recruiting prospects.
The Hoosiers will host the Jayhawks at 12:30 p.m. ET at Assembly Hall on CBS and a strong list of recruiting targets are expected to be courtside in Bloomington.
Two of the seven prospects Indiana is hosting will be on official visits.
Joson Sanon, a class of 2025 wing from Vermont Academy and Bryson Tiller, a class of 2025 forward from Overtime Elite, are the prospects making official visits.
Sanon, a 6-foot-5 wing, is the No. 10 player nationally in the 2025 class according to the 247Composite but is a potential candidate to move into the 2024 class and arrive on a college campus next summer. Indiana needs to upgrade its guard and wing talent entering next season, which will be Mike Woodson’s fourth.
Tiller, a 6-foot-9 forward, is the No. 8 player nationally in the junior class.
Five players are also expected to be in Bloomington for unofficial visits.
Two of those players are in-state stars that Indiana has been recruiting for several years: La Lumiere five-star guard Jalen Haralson and Heritage Hills forward Trent Sisley.
Haralson, a 6-foot-6 guard, played his first two high school seasons at Fisher before transferring to La Lumiere last summer. He’s the No. 9 player in the 2025 class.
Sisley, a 6-foot-7 forward, has frequently visited Bloomington in recent seasons. He’s the No. 52 player in the junior class.
Class of 2025 guard Trey McKenney, one of IU’s top targets in the junior class, will also be at Saturday’s game. The 6-foot-4 guard is the No. 13 player nationally in the junior class.
The Hoosiers will also host Malachi Moreno, a class of 2025 big man, and Jonathan Sanderson, a class of 2026 guard.
Moreno, a 6-foot-11 big man from Great Crossing High School in Georgetown, Kentucky, has been on Indiana’s campus several times. He’s the No. 62 player nationally in the 2025 class.
Sanderson, the son of Michigan head strength and conditioning coach Jon Sanderson, will make his second trip to Indiana this year.
The 6-foot-2 point guard from Saline, Michigan, is the No. 44 player in the sophomore class, according to the 247 Composite.
